AGE CONCERN NEW FOREST is a local independent charity supporting local people age 55 and over. We receive no Government funding and we rely on donations, bequests, and income raised from our local shops to maintain the services we offer to the local community.
Age Concern New Forest is not part of Age UK, nor any other Age Concerns within the area. We do use literature supplied by Age UK, and are Friends of both Age UK and Age UK Southampton
We are a small but thriving group, providing practical information for older local people on subjects such as - health, housing, home security, benefits, pensions, LPA's and many other topics. We also offer support and advocacy in approaching other agencies, including Social Services, New Forest District Council, The Pension Service and the Health Service and in addition provide a number of support services ourselves with the help of dedicated band of local volunteers.
